These are some fun little treats that work as a more filling appetizer for any of your events.  Buy really good sausages, I love the chicken sausages at Trader Joes.  They are affordable too.

Cook sausages (place in sautee pan, high heat, about 13 minutes, I like to blacken a little)

Cook fingerling potatoes (boil until tender, roast in oven until crispy with olive and salt and pepper)

Slice sausage diagonally to get as many pieces possible (I like mine about 1/4 inch thick)

Drizzle Mustard Vinaigrette on Sausages (2 tbsp dijon mustard, 1 tbsp balsamic, 3 tbsp olive oil, s+p to taste, whisk)

Using a toothpick, slide on sausage, potato, basil leaf in any order you desire.
